struck gold and kept it to myself
tucked it up under my ribs and warmth
nestled right up to my heart
secret crept in to my lungs
with tender tendrils tipped with teeth
made a place to hide away
buried in among my guts
secret keeps me up at night
snacks on my brain when she’s asleep
